The TrackPro TT1a Slot Car Tyre Truer is designed for quick and convenient tyre truing and cleaning.
Here's how to use it:
1) Lock the Truer onto your track: Place the truer in the center of one of your track lanes and lock it into place. Ensure a secure lock for stable operation.
2) Try cleaning your tyres first:
* Adjust the slot cars brushes to ensure good electrical contact.
* Position the slot car with the rear tyres on the cloth and the front on your track.
* Apply droplets of water or isopropyl alcohol to the cloth where the tyres touch the cloth to prepare for cleaning.
* Spin your wheels using your speed controller. You may need to support the rear of the slot car during this process.
3) True and Refresh Your Tyres:
* Position the dust-collecting cloth on the track behind the truer.
* Lower the sanding pad.
* Position the slot car with the rear tyres on the sanding pad and the front on your track.
* Apply water or isopropyl alcohol droplets to the sandpaper where the tyres touch to prepare for truing.
* Use your hand controller to control tyre speed. You may need to support the rear of the slot car during this process.
4) Ratcheting Sanding Pad: Adjust the sanding pad as needed to maximize sandpaper lifespan. If you chose the dual grit option, rotate the ratcheting sanding pad 180 degrees to change the grit.
Important Note: This truer relies on power from your track and your slot car speed controller to control the speed. Be careful not to overheat your motor during operation.
