HISTORY:
British born Graham Hill, born in 1929, was an emblematic character of Formula in 1960s. He was the F1 World driver Champion in 1962 with BRM and in 1968 with Lotus. He raced in the Le Mans 24 Hours race each year from 1958 to 1966 mostly on behalf of British teams but Porsche too. It is only when he comes back to Le Mans in 1972 with Matra MS 670 car number 15 and team mate Henri Pescarolo he wins the race.z
He is the only driver ever to win the Triple Crown of Motorsporta?"the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Indianapolis 500 (in 1966) and the Monaco Grand Prix (in 1963, 1964, 1965, 1968 and 1969) and also the Formula One World Drivers' Championship.
Hill was one of the first drivers to customise his helmet. He adopted the colours and cap design of London Rowing Club for his racing helmet - dark blue with white oar-shaped tabs.
