MORE INFORMATION:
For the 1979 Bathurst 1000 Peter Janson teamed up with Larry Perkins and they made an instant impact by qualifying for the Hardies Heroes Top 10 shootout. The number 19 Holden A9X Torana was only able to position itself in 7th place on the starting grid for the Great Race with a lap time of 2:26.212.
Holden A9X Toranas took the top eight places in Australias premier race for production saloons. Peter Brock and his co-driver Jim Richards went on to dominate the endurance race around the daunting, four-mile Mount Panorama circuit at Bathurst.
At the finish, the Brock/Richards Holden A9X Torana was 6 laps clear of the Cadbury Schweppes number 19 entry driven by Janson and Perkins, with Ralph Radburn and John Smith bringing their Holden A9X Torana Sedan into third place, eight laps behind the winners.
Overall, it was another dominant Bathurst 1000 race for the all conquering Holden A9X Torana.

Supplied in a hinged crystal lid display case.

Export orders will have the Aus GST removed after checkout.
