HISTORY:
To celebrate the victorious result for McLaren at the 1995 Le Mans 24 hours McLaren commissioned five special cars designated McLaren F1 LM (for Le Mans). These featured a reduction in weight, by removing the sound deadening in the interior, no audio system and no fan assisted ground affect. The aero was also modified and all examples were finished in the striking colour of Papaya Orange as tribute to Bruce McLaren.
These are the ultimate short tail road going McLaren F1s. It produces a total of 680HP due to its race tuned engine, and while its top speed is less than that of the standard car due to the drag of the rear wing it achieves its acceleration in a far more brutal manner.
