Armchair Racer specialises in 1:32 scale model slot cars but also supports 1:24 scale, 1:43 scale and 1:64 scale.
Since its beginnings in 1995 and under the vision of Jim Berry, Armchair Racer has grown and now offers a full range of services to the slot car community including:
- Showroom open 5 days with a comprehensive range of slot car and related supplies
- Prompt local and worldwide mail order service
- Workshops
- Service and restoration work
- Wholesale supplier for leading brands including Slot.it, Policar, Sideways, Thunderslot and Le Mans Minatures
We also bring in a number of ranges that are exclusive to Armchair Racer.
Armchair Racer operated from the Lane Cove retail centre until 2005 when we moved to the Artarmon industrial area. In 2010 we relocated to larger premises in Hotham Parade and in late June 2018 again relocated across the road to 7/19 Hotham Parade. We are only 10 - 15 minutes by car or train from the Sydney CBD.
Armchair Racer is well known across the industry and our team consisting of David, Cathy and Peter are committed to providing you with detailed advice and service so that you get the most out of your hobby.
We regularly provide information for books, magazines, radio and TV shows.

For customers who like to collect from our showroom please be aware that due to the smaller showroom space approximately 300+ of our 700 + models are currently on display, however, if you wish to see any model not in the showroom or other product please ask us to get it for you.
