LE MANS MINIATURES 132105/97M - Porsche 928 - Le Mans 1983 #97

$179.00

Le Mans Miniature models are wonderfully crafted scale models which you would normally see in a display cabinet. These models are fitted with running gear so that they can also be run on a slot car track.

This Porsche 928 was the only 928 that has ever raced at the 24hr Le Mans. It first raced in 1983 when driver Boutinaud reckoned that the 928 could make a serious run at the 911s that showed up to Le Mans in droves. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, the organisers of Le Mans like this idea since it added variety to the starting grid. It also raced in 1984 with a new livery.
