Henri Pescarolo is a former French F1 and endurance racer from the 1965 to 1990's. He holds the record of the number of participations in 24 Hour Le Mans (33 times) and wins this mythical race with Matra Sport team three consecutive times in 1972-1973-1974 and then with Porsche in 1984.
In 1977-1978-1979 he drove with John Goss in the XC Falcon at Bathurst 1000.
After retirement from F1 he starts his own racing team, Pescarolo Sport, which competed until 2012. During this time while working on the Courage C60 prototype and with so many modifications Courage allowed the team to name the car Pescarolo.
He is represented here with Matra at the age of around thirty years while he still had all his hair and his full face beard that partially covers the burns he sustained folloiwng a crash in 1969; and is supplied with his green helmet which was already his trademark.
