The Ford Torino was produced by Ford for the North American market between 1968 and 1976. The car was named after the city of Turin (Torino, in Italian), considered "the Italian Detroit".
Wendell Scott's career was long and notable, both in sportsmanship and breaking ground as the first African-American driver in American stock car racing.
